Adrián Iaies & Colegiales Trío

The Colegiales Trío is currently one of the best and most exciting Argentine jazz bands, which stands out singularly for its jazzy sound and its folkloric source.
This result of the highest musical level is achieved thanks to  two of the most recognized and outstanding Argentine musicians such as Adrián Iaies (piano, composition, arrangements), and Facundo Guevara, perhaps the percussionist who best expresses the folkloric musical roots of the region.
Along with them, Diana Arias, a young Colombian double bass player is the perfect rhythmic support.
Iaies’ new project, which he does not hesitate to describe as “the group that most excites him in many years”, offers new versions of music included in his last two albums: “La paciencia está en nuestros corazones” and “Madera, cuero y algunas campanas”; as well as the very celebrated duet work by Iaies and Arias – “Cada vez que (siempre) brillas”
The group is currently focused on new material to be part of their upcoming album.
It is all original music by Iaies, who is also Artistic Director of the Usina del Arte and the International Jazz Festival of Buenos Aires.
