Ignacio Correa – Andrés Rey Dúo

The duo explores the sound and expressive possibilities of the guitar ensemble.
Their starting point is regional music focused on Uruguayan authors.
They approach music from various points of view, incorporating both academic and popular music in their repertoire.
They are working to expose the musical production of the composer and writer Felisberto Hernández.
Within this project, they have released “Felisberto en Dos Guitarras”, a  multimedia scorebook completed by illustrations, recordings, and texts.
Another side of their work is related to Urban Music, Tango, Milonga and Candombe, primary genres of Uruguayan cultural identity.
They combine different forms of instrumental approach, generating a varied landscape of styles and languages.
