Mousso

Mousso means woman in Malinke idiom.
Mousso is also a Jazz Fusion Ensemble formed by women and gender dissidence.
They explore and use traditional and contemporary elements of African music on Jazz Standards, Afro-descendant songs, melodic and rhythmic improvisation.
The project was created in 2016 under the direction of percussionist Javiera Hernández.
They have performed in major national festivals contributing strongly to the reconnection of Jazz with its African roots.
