Conjunto Chappottín y sus Estrellas

Chappottín y sus Estrellas: three generations and the same sound.

Conjunto Chappottín or Chappottín y sus Estrellas, was founded in 1950 by the trumpeter Félix Chappottín, the pianist Lilí Martínez, the singer Miguelito Cuní and other members of the Arsenio Rodríguez ensemble, which was partially dissolved after his departure to the United States.
Under the direction of Félix Chappottín the band reached international recognition.
“Chappottín y sus Estrellas” is currently an Orchestra that gave continuity to the Arsenio Rodríguez ensemble and that has managed to endure over time.
Among the genres performed, the Son Montuno is relevant, as well as Guarachas, Pregones, Guaguancó, and Boleros.
The traditional music of “Chappottín y sus Estrellas” is accompanied by the harmony of the Piano, Tres, Bass, and four Trumpets.
Three generations of musicians have accompanied the anthological themes of the virtuoso trumpeter Félix Chappottín, maintaining with elegance and mastery the musical brand that identifies the group.
